SGA has comfortable classrooms equipped with professional grooming tools of international standards.

For each batch class opened, there is a maximum of 6 people per batch. This small class size ensures every student receives full attention from Ms. Selly.

All students are taught directly by Ms. Selly — the Principal of SGA. No classes are taught by assistants.

Ms. Selly has international qualifications:

• USA Barkleigh MASTER Groomer
• China NGKC MASTER Groomer
• Korea KKF 1st Class Trimmer
• ARTERO Brand Ambassador 2023/24/25
• 13 years of experience as a groomer
• 10 years of experience as an instructor

There is no maximum age limit. As long as you have the interest and are in healthy physical condition to perform grooming, you are welcome to join.

For Level C (Beginner), no experience is required at all. We will teach from the basics (zero to hero).

SGA offers several programs:

• Level C (Beginner): IDR 65,000,000 — 2 months, ~45 sessions
  Curriculum: Basic Grooming, Scissoring, Common Breed Pet Clip (Poodle, Pom, Shih Tzu), Basic Coloring, Pet Shop Management
• Level B (Advanced): IDR 65,000,000 — 25 sessions
  Curriculum: Advanced Poodle Lamb Clip, Show Clip Foundation, Bichon Show Clip, Advance Pet Clip (Korean Clip)
• Level A (Expert): IDR 77,500,000
  Curriculum: Poodle Puppy Clip, Poodle Continental Clip, Poodle Second Puppy Clip, Competition Prep
• Styling Class: IDR 27,500,000 — 10 sessions
  For experienced groomers: Technique Correction, Certification Prep
• K-Grooming / Asian Fusion: IDR 11,000,000 — 3 sessions
  For experienced groomers. 1–2 clip styles.

• Dog Basic Grooming: IDR 5,000,000 — 3 sessions (Theory + Practical)
• Cat Basic Grooming: IDR 5,000,000 — 3 sessions (Theory + Practical)
• Pet Owner Basic Styling: IDR 25,000,000 — 10 sessions (Batch)

• Online Class: price based on topic. Schedule announced via Instagram @selly.grooming.academy

For Professional Class, the recommended sequence is: Level C → Level B → Level A. After graduating Level C, students can proceed to Level B. After graduating Level B, students can proceed to Level A.

Yes. At SGA, students can also learn Pet Shop Management — pet shop management knowledge based on Ms. Selly's 13 years of experience in the industry. This material is included in the Level C curriculum.

No. K-Grooming / Asian Fusion is only for experienced groomers only.

For Custom Classes, the schedule can be discussed (by appointment). For batch-type classes, the schedule will be announced on Instagram @selly.grooming.academy.

School days: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Level C: 2 months (classes take place every Monday–Friday).
• Other classes: duration according to the number of meetings specified by the program.

Students must attend every day. If unable to attend on a certain day, it can be discussed with Ms. Selly. Maximum 2 absences per program.

Currently, our regular classes take place Monday–Friday. However, for special seminars or online classes, they are often held on weekends. Follow our Instagram for schedule updates.

Payment is made in full before the class starts. Credit cards can be used with an additional charge.

Yes. Level C + Level B package gets a 5% discount.

Yes, the price listed is the net price and includes all class administration fees.

Grooming tools are not included in the class price. If students already have their own tools, they can be brought. Or students can buy a tools package at SGA with a special discount for students.

For Level A, it is recommended that students have at least 1 Poodle as a model dog. Besides learning “how to groom”, Level A students must also master “how to maintain” — so having your own dog model is highly recommended.

For Level C and Level B, model dogs are provided by the academy for daily practice purposes. Students do not need to worry about finding their own models.

SGA uses the International Syllabus Standard — a curriculum that refers to international grooming association standards.

Yes. Students can take the Official Certification Exam from the International Grooming Association after completing the program.

Yes. SGA has many seminars that students can attend throughout the year as ongoing skill development.

Selly Grooming Academy is located in Gading Serpong, Tangerang.

There are many boarding house options around the academy. The SGA team is ready to help provide information on suitable housing options.
